Office administrator apprenticeship

We have an opening for an apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 2, this will be a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to start their career while receiving structured training.

The position will be available once we have moved to our new premises at Unit500 Delta business park in Swindon, circa mid April.

The duration of the level 2 apprenticeship is 12 months, there is also a higher level the candidate can then progress towards, this will extend the apprenticeship a further 14-18 months.

Once completed the successful candidate will continue to be employed on a full contract.

You will work as part of a team in a busy environment and you will carry out the following duties:

•Answering of telephone and welcoming clients and suppliers
•Passing calls to relevant department’s
•Logging of service calls
•Taking of messages
•First Aid Representative (applicable after 3 months and relevant training)
•Purchasing of internal office supplies
•Creation of Contract statements
•Booking of Co Car services
•Booking of accommodation and travel when required
•Obtaining competitive quotations
•Secretarial support for all members of staff
•General office administration
•Managing holiday bookings
•Managing the booking in of equipment
•Managing deliveries both in and out

Personal Skills:

•Some previous work experience desirable but not required
•Previous experience in a customer facing role would be advantageous
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Reliable, trustworthy and hard-working
•Friendly, confident and outgoing
•Must be exceptionally smart of appearance and presentable at all times to create professional first image of the organisation
•Well organised with the ability to effectively manage their own time and plan ahead
•Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
•Exceptional attention to detail is essential as is the ability to create factually accurate and error-free documentation
•Methodical and adept at maintaining records and filing systems
•A clear understanding of requirements in relation to confidentiality when dealing with sensitive data
